*Note: Stu Shwartz, the replacement referee counted the pin after Senior Referee, Tommy Young, was knocked down. Tommy Young later reversed this decision, and awarded Rhodes the victory by disqualification due to interference by Arn Anderson. Therefore, Ric Flair remained the NWA World Heavyweight Champion. This style of finish has become known as a "Dusty Finish".
